My first week here was spent getting aquainted with the other volunteers. There was alot of information and ¨getting to know you¨ activities which were somewhat tedious. For now, I am living in the guest house with 5 other girls, but I will be moving in a couple weeks to a different volunteer house with a girl who was raised in the USA, but has Guatemalan roots in her family. It should be a good time.... I can´t wait to start working.
Interesting things that happened this week- a dog rummaged through the trash can outside our house in the nighttime. I woke up to a yard full of trash which was gross! Also, I started running every morning just to relieve some stress. Finally, I watched many reruns of the Office and Sex And The City in Spanish with my new roommates. Here are some pictures from the week!

Hey Anj! I'm glad you're finally settling in there! The other volunteers and yourself seem like you're having fun!!! Keep up the good work. Things in the Nati are sort of the same. I'm starting to submit applications for grad school, I have a telephone interview for a job in California I don't want on Monday (haha), and my dad's company is in the midst of negotiating a buyout!!! Oh and Andrea Borchers and Ryan Farrell both got engaged...not to each other (eek!), but you know what I mean! So there's your weekly gossip! Hehe! Miss u!!!! Hopefully I'll get to send you some thing soon...like a postcard, nothing too fancy, so don't get too excited...
Hey Anjali-
It's fun reading your blog entries about what you are up to. Sounds like it has been interesting-the pics were good. Have fun with your first week of teaching.
Hey Anj,
I had some time to kill at the airport and almost called you today. Then I remembered you don't live in the US anymore. MISS YOU and hope you're having fun!
Hi Anjali,
What excitement! I loved reading about your life in Guatemala and your work. What a blessing you must be to the children.
